Following the success of the Benjarong Experience Menu Vol I & II which became the talk of the town in Manila’s dining scene, the final series features yet another bespoke gastronomic adventure for the senses. One can get a taste of unique Thai delights masterfully created by Chef Watcharaphon Yongbanthom, who joins forces with Chef Bo and Chef Dylan.
The Benjarong Experience Menu Vol III evolves to offer new discoveries that challenge the adventurous palate desiring Thai cuisine prepared both authentically and with innovative local twists. Have an upclose encounter with the dishes that highlight the chefs’ skills and deep respect for Thai culture such as Saeng Waa (oyster cured with calamasi limes and chili), Yum Tua Plu Mu Yang (grilled Iberico pork rib, chili tamarind glaze, winged bean salad), Lhon Pu (local Filipino mud crab simmered in coconut cream and fern shoots), Tom Yam Ped Pha-lo Ha Ros (hot and sour soup of five spiced braised duck), among others.
Chef Watcharaphon Yongbanthom took on a culinary trip to Bo.lan in Thailand to personally embark on a gastronomic adventure for the senses and get a fresh perspective from Chef Bo and Chef Dylan. The power couple draws inspiration from antique Thai cookbooks, their travels in and around the country and the time spent with local farmers and artisans. A true labor of love, they opened their first restaurant Bo.lanin 2008 and self published their first cookbook entitled, “Err”.
The latest Benjarong Experience menu is paired to perfection with high quality wines to engage all five senses for an unforgettable Thai dining memory. Accepting reservations starting on May 9, the 8-course tasting menu is priced at PHP 8,500++ per person with wine pairing and PHP 4,500++ per person without pairing. An option for a special wine by the glass is also available.
