Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach visited her second home, Dusit Thani Manila once again for a week-long vacation and to give an inspiring talk to Dusit employees. The warmest welcome of Thai graciousness was extended to her by General Manager Bruno Cristol, Director of Sales and Marketing Leilani Merilo and PR and Communications manager Dorothy Espiritu.
The Filipina-German beauty has spent her luxurious layover at Dusit Thani Manila’s bespoke Ambassador Suite and has tried the best culinary treasures at the hotel- The Pantry, Benjarong and UMU.
In an afternoon talk before the employees, Pia shared her inspiring story about being confidently beautiful with a heart.
“Learn to choose your battles.” This was one of the key points that Pia gave to her Dusit audience when asked how she is managing negative comments and standing up to her critics.
She relates that positive attitude and genuine heart can really go a long way in all aspects of life, whether you’re a beauty queen or a hotelier. Wurtzbach also recalls her Miss Universe journey, how she never gave up, how she dealt with awkward situations like a queen and how she earned the love of people around her.
Pia has also spent a romantic Valentine’s dinner with her beau Marlon Stockinger at UMU Japanese Garden.
