Yes, I was a victim 😫. Like girrrl, what ingredients did they use in that tube?

Scary, it is! Stay on the page because I will now spill the beans, lovelies! ✨

I didn’t know that I was owning a fake Glossier until I got myself an authentic one. Sorry, but I returned the fake Beam, (because it’s scary if I mistakenly use it, right?) so I have no photo comparison but I’ll try my best to describe it. These two are authentic ones and I love the shades!

Let’s begin.

Smell: The fake one has a vanilla scent in it. The original one is fragrance free.

Texture: It’s hard to tell TBH. Both in cream consistency, except that the fake one leaves patches on the skin like of a literal PAINT 😫that is impossible to blend. The original product blends seamlessly, which is why a lot of beauty enthusiasts are raving about it.

Packaging: Almost the same, especially the box and the print at the back. The size and the shades are close to the the real thing too. BUT, the tube of the original Cloud Paint is made of aluminum, like of a toothpaste that can be squeezed. The fake one comes in a plastic tube, which lights the red signal 🚨When you remove the cap, there should be a foil that you need to peel. It DOESN’T fall off easily.

Price: The original Glossier sells each cloud paint for $18, which can be sold here in the Philippines around 1,000-1,300 pesos. If you found someone selling it for around 120-500 pesos, ask yourself ‘what ingredients/chemicals are in that thing?’. I bought mine for 1,200 pesos but still, it wasn’t legit. 😭

Fakes can be hard to spot- especially because such products are everywhere these days. Even when you bought it for a very low price, the bad reaction to your skin, worst to your health, is not worth the money you tried to save from buying the copy cat. My advice is research well before buying something online or even from someone you know (in my case, from my officemate). Only buy from the official stores or ask someone from US to buy them for you. Most especially- when in doubt, DON’T.

Let me know your thoughts. Share with me if you have a similar experience with Glossier Cloud Paint or any cosmetic product that you bought.
